New On-line Stone Massage Supply Opens for Massage Professionals

Massage therapy using stones that have been heated has been part of the healing practice of many cultures for centuries. In the past, therapists walked the shores collecting stones that would be appropriate for their healing practice. They learned which stones worked well and which did not by trial and error. Today, most therapists purchase stones through large suppliers. These suppliers often carry only one type of stone and only a few groupings of stones. The therapist does not know if she has the correct stones for her type of massage practice.
Riverrockmassage.com is a new on-line massage supply that takes the guess-work out of choosing stone therapy products. At riverrockmassage.com, we will design a custom kit of stones for the therapist based on the type of therapy practiced, the types of clients seen most often, the size of the therapist's hands, how much of the practice will be devoted to stone massage, and any other information the therapist feels is revelant. This allows the therapist to have the ideal tools for her individual massage therapy practice.
Kristine Shultis, a nationally certified, state licensed massage therapist for 10 years, came up with this concept after working for many years to incorporate stones into her practice based mainly on the Japanese style of massage therapy, Shiatsu, and the practices of other therapists. "Hot stones are easily incorporated into most types of massage therapy including Swedish massage therapy, Asian bodywork therapy, and trigger point thrapy," says Kristine.
